The studio began with the exploration of University of Manitoba's Fort Garry campus through wondering. Starting with the questions, What are the roots of learning? thriving University? architecture?

The process began uncovering the journey from seed to plant - Idea to a building by following an intuition, which developed through a variety of hands-on modeling, drawing and installation experiments. The result of this exploration is an experimental pilot project, building on 2016 Visionary (Re) Generation Master Plan for the Fort Garry campus.

The aim of the project was to activate north face of the building adjacent to the east-west pedestrian access of the campus by activating the disused plaza to encourage access for different users and at the same time maintaining the privacy of the studios. Connecting the studio spaces to the gallery and adding a new entrance to the building which blossoms out to the east-west pedestrian path, inviting the public by creating a plaza and a cafe', which takes up the idea as a flower allowing people to pollinate the designs produced in the studio.
